Jody Negley is a former social worker and full-time activist who has worked tirelessly to improve living conditions for people with disabilities in Montreal. In 2018, she launched a sticker campaign to raise awareness about the invisible barriers facing the disability community.

As a founding member of Tannery Village—a citizens’ committee focused on creating and preserving green space in St-Henri—Jody is deeply committed to grassroots urban advocacy. She has also contributed to numerous initiatives, including Enable MTL, to help guide public policy regarding housing and accessibility.

In 2021, recognizing the intersection of climate change and public health, Jody founded the Climate Brigade. 

What started as a small volunteer effort to install air conditioners for vulnerable seniors has since grown exponentially; today, the Climate Brigade supports over 130 residents across three boroughs in adapting to extreme weather.
